Between 1969 and 1974 they notched up eleven top ten hits and many more that made the top twenty. ‘Mama Told Me Not To Come’, ‘One’, ‘Eli’s Coming’, ‘Shambala’, ‘An Old Fashioned Love Song’ and the irrepressible ‘Joy To The World’ are just a few of their instantly recognised classics. Others include ‘An Old-Fashioned Love Song’, ‘Easy To Be Hard’, ‘Black and White’ and ‘Celebrate’.
The group has always centred on the powerful lead vocals and harmonies of Danny Hutton and Cory Wells, who still lead the band to this day. Also featured in the current touring line-up are original keyboardist Jimmy Greenspoon and guitarist Michael Allsup.
In an era of guitar heroes and drum solos, Three Dog Night stood out for their emphasis on vocal power and excellent songs. The Irish-born Hutton, who had already made a number of solo recordings, developed a distinctive and original style of harmony that influenced the likes of Crosby, Stills and Nash.
Unlike most bands of the time, Three Dog Night were not precious about their own material – they simply wanted the best songs. Their hit recordings often drew attention to up-and-coming songwriters: Randy Newman (‘Mama Told Me Not To Come’), Harry Nilsson (‘One’) and Laura Nyro (‘Eli’s Coming’) are just a few who found greater fame once Three Dog Night had covered their songs
After more than three decades, Three Dog Night continue to deliver their hit-filled set with exuberance, humour and soul, and their New Zealand tour promises a night of much more than nostalgia.

It is with much regret that promoters Stewart & Tricia Macpherson are cancelling all shows of the forthcoming Three Dog Night New Zealand tour scheduled to start in Rotorua on Friday 13th May.
News of the last two months, both locally and
worldwide, rising fuel prices, and even anticipation of the forthcoming
budget have affected all. The nationwide market has shown the
availability of the discretionary dollar is tight.
These shows
were to be Three Dog Night’s first visit to New Zealand since the
seventies. The group was eagerly anticipating returning to these shores
and in an interview on Radio New Zealand, singer Danny announced he was
planning to arrive earlier to spend time with friends.
While all
efforts have been made to retain the dates, it is evident on many
levels, that it is currently not possible to make these shows work for
all concerned.

At twenty-six, Will Martin has already packed in a lifetime of paying dues. Dedicated study of musical styles and vocal training of the highest calibre, together with an active 'performance apprenticeship' honed on worldwide stages, has turned this born and bred New Zealander into the complete entertainer. He will perform songs from both of these albums on this tour. The performance time on his coming South Island February tour is approximately 2 hours, inclusive of a 20-minute intermission, and post-show Will is delighted to meet the audience and autograph copies of both albums which we be available for purchase.

already packed in a lifetime of paying dues. Dedicated study of musical
styles and vocal training of the highest calibre, together with an
active 'performance apprenticeship' honed on worldwide stages, has
turned this born and bred New Zealander into the complete entertainer.
Since making the decision at the age of 18 to follow his musical dream,
Will has gone from strength to strength: from entertaining on cruise
ships and rocking the Hard Rock Café, to leading countries in their
respective national anthems at some of the world's most prestigious
sporting venues.
His 2007 debut album - 'A New World' was
an epic collection of classical crossover songs, which simultaneously
reflected Will's origins and the scope of his unfaltering ambition. It
also created history when it debuted on release in the UK at Number 1,
making him the youngest tenor in musical history to top the classical
charts. His very new album currently in the Top 40 Chart, 'Inspirations'

these albums on this February South Island tour.
The concert performance time starts at 7.30pm and is
approximately 2 hours, inclusive of a 20-minute intermission.When making
your booking a booking fee will apply.
Will enjoys meeting his audience after a performance and will autograph copies of albums.
Both the above albums will be available to purchase at the performance.

The YOUNG@HEART Chorus have arrived from the USA. They came through Auckland Customs in fine form and excited about being in NZ. They were met by the 5 x Kiwis who will join the Chorus for their 7 NZ performances. A day of rehearsals follows - and then it's into performances.
When Bob Cilman and Judith Sharpe organized the Young@Heart (Y@H) in
1982 all of the members lived in an elderly housing project in
Northampton, MA called the Walter Salvo House. The first group included
elders who lived through both World Wars. One of their members had
fought in the Battle of the Somme as a 16 year old and another, Anna
Main, lost her husband in the First World War. Anna was a stand-up comic
who at 88 told jokes that only she could get away with.
The Pointer Sisters’ career has successes spanning over three decades, the repertoire of these multi Grammy award-winning Artists has included such diverse genres as pop, disco, jazz, bebop, blues, soul, funk, dance, country and rock. Their debut album produced a massive hit for the funk cover of Yes We Can Can and they scored another home run with their sultry cover of Bruce Springsteen's Fire.
The Pointer Sisters enjoyed a steady succession of vibrant and stirring hits throughout the 80s: He's So Shy, Slow Hand, I'm So Excited, Automatic, Jump (for My Love), Neutron Dance, and Dare Me. In 1985 both Jump (for My Love) and Automatic won Grammies.

For the first time ever, New Zealand fans will get a taste of Todd
Rundgren 'live' in September. The new CD, not yet released anywhere else
in the world, can be purchased only from Stetson Group’s web site.
A musical pioneer, a software innovator, a renowned composer and producer, a conceptual and interactive artist and maybe even a wizard (if the name if of his 1973 solo album is anything to go by), Todd Rundgren has been shifting and shaping the musical and multimedia membrane for almost forty years, and now he brings the live experience of his brand new album Todd Rundgren’s Johnson to Auckland and Wellington in September, for two must-see shows.
Check this link to get a taste of Todd thru the years -
Rundgren may not be a household name in this country but his list of album productions will be familiar to any self-respecting music fan: Patti Smith, Meatloaf, Cheap Trick, Hall and Oates, Grand Funk Railroad and Psychedelic Furs, to name but a few. And you will surely recognize some of his own classic hits including Hello It’s Me, I Saw The Light, Can We Still Be Friends, and Bang The Drum.
His latest project is a collection of classic bluesman Robert Johnson numbers, each performed with the Rundgren twist. Reviewers of his American shows have described the experience as reminiscent of late sixties Cream or early Led Zeppelin. Rundgren simply describes the show as “kick ass rock n’ roll”.
Fans can
expect about half the show set to be dedicated to Johnson’s material with the
remainder of the concert featuring a full noise guided tour through the
Rundgren catalogue. Guitar heroes: take note!

The ultimate 80s double bill spectacular. Two of the UK's hottest 80's band, played together in the same concert, for the first time in NZ on 29 April, 2010.
Fresh from sell-out shows in London’s 02 Arena, both bands were visiting Australia, and we managed to convince them to play one date in Auckland’s Vector Arena.
The original members of both bands played all their hits, so it was effectively 2 shows for the price of one.
All five original members of Spandau Ballet, Tony Hadley, John Keeble, Gary Kemp, Martin Kemp and Steve Norman of Spandau Ballet performed Gold, True, Lifeline, I Don’t Need This Pressure On, To Cut A Long Story Short, and Only When You Leave, amongst others, in a 2-hour set. Opening the night were Tears For Fears whose hits include Shout, Mad World, Mother’s Talk, I Believe, Head Over Heels, Woman In Chains, Sowing The Seeds Of Love, and Everybody Wants To Rule The World.
Emerging from Soho’s ultra hip Blitz Club in 1979, Spandau formed at school in North London before becoming the hottest unsigned band on the planet. From underground, fashion and music obsessed working class Londoners, to global superstars, the band set the pace, the styles and the sound of the 1980s. Not only did their albums sell by the millions, but their look and style impacted on the fashion world and beyond. They created their own style, combining creativity with entrepreneurship and the spirit of the youth of the early 80s.
Tears for Fears, made up of duo Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, enjoyed similar success in the 80s when British bands were setting the commercial and cultural bar in regards to pop music. They have sold in excess of 22 million albums worldwide spawning massive the hits Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Shout and Head Over Heels. Roland and Curt split in 1990 after their meteoric rise through the pop charts only to reunite and release a new album in 2004. Since then Tears for Fears have continued to sell out shows throughout the world and maintain their status as one of pop music’s more productive musical collaborations.

Following their New Zealand tour, the Company fly to London – to open at the Shaftesbury Theatre, West End.
The 7 Irish Tenors toured NZ during November 2009.
Sensational. At every performance, a standing ovation for the wonderful Seven Irish Tenors!
There was a lot of blarney, but also every song was instantly
recognised from, ‘Irish Eyes Are Smiling’ and ‘Danny Boy’ thru to
Queen’s ‘We Are The Champions’, The Beatles ‘Twist & Shout’ and, of
course. a superb rendition of ‘Nessun Dorma’. And at every performance
the tenors came out front of house to meet their patrons, and autograph
the CD of the show – now available from our SHOP under CD’s for sale.
The fastest show on earth!
Ch-Ch-Ch Boogie is one of the pre-show songs about trains that sets the mood in the arenas for a fabulous night of spectacle and fun in Andrew Lloyd Webber's amazing roller-skating musical STARLIGHT EXPRESS. People left the arenas buzzing with excitement about what they'd seen. The reviews were uniformly appreciative, with superlatives such as "magical", "high-energy", "spectacular", "awesome" etc., which is always very satisfying for us as Producers to hear and experience. Here is what one reviewer wrote. "If you're looking for deep and meaningful you've come to the wrong place, but the show never pretends to be anything other than what it is - a spectacular, feel-good entertainment with catchy tunes, bubblegum romance, outrageous costumes and rollerskates. The musical score - delivered ‘live’ by an impressive though unseen band - always strikes the right emotional chord and there is an appealing musical playfulness in many of the songs. The large cast are all highly accomplished singers and dancers with standout performances coming from some of the veterans of the show's extensive world tour. Alongside these seasoned professionals the large Kiwi contingent more than holds its own."
