The Ladykillers
THE LADYKILLERS is a dream team of NZ’s finest singers and entertainers - TAISHA, SUZANNE LYNCH, TINA CROSS and JACKIE CLARKE. From a whisper to a scream and everything in between, these divas make beautiful music dripping in harmony. They return for ONE NIGHT ONLY to Auckland’s St.James Theatre at 7.30pm on Saturday, 14 October - the scene of their first concert following their amazing performance on 'Dancing With The Stars'.
They open with an unplugged set accompanied by pianist GRANT WINTERBURN, and in the second half will be accompanied by a 7-piece band of some of New Zealand’s hottest musicians, and including at least one special guest.
THE LADYKILLERS belong to the grand vocal harmony tradition spanning gospel to the girl group, power pop to R&B, with a little bit of rock thrown in for good measure. The show is a wild ride through music history. It’s sophisticated glamour and a dazzling vocal tour de force all rolled into one gorgeous super duper deluxe package.
But Spice Girls they ain’t. For a start they’re not girls, they’re women. They’re well-seasoned professionals doing what they do best - singing from the heart with soul.
Seats will be cabaret-style at tables covered in fine linen. Food platters will be an option at the time of booking your table for six, as will the excellent Marlborough wine of The LADYKILLERS sponsor, Jane Hunter of Hunter’s Wines.
